‘Heroes of Chemistry’ Recognized for Their Contributions to Health, Medicine and More

Merck and Co. Inc.: Lagevrio™ (molnupiravir) is a new antiviral for the treatment of COVID-19. It has received emergency use authorization from the United States Food and Drug Administration.
Modern: SARS-CoV-2 mRNA-1273 vaccine (Spikevax™) is an mRNA vaccine against COVID-19, authorized by the Food and Drug Administration for people 18 years of age and older.
Pfizer: Paxlovid™ is a drug with emergency use authorization from the Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of mild to moderate COVID-19.
The Heroes of Chemistry ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, September 29 in Washington, D.C.
